Under 18’s Management/Coaching Vacancy

FC Lakeside are currently interviewing for coaching/management team to take on our Under 18’s team for next season. The Cheltenham Youth football league are looking to set up a new U18 league and we want to be part of it. We have players available from this season’s U16 team and also our U16’s from 2012/13 season. Combine the two and we should have a very competitive side.

Our aim is to keep our players within FC Lakeside and ultimately give the players an opportunity to progress towards our men’s 1st’s and 2nd’s teams.

For more information please contact Rob Griffiths on 07814 708556
Please share and promote as we want to fill this position fairly quickly.
Thank you.

Tim Lane Presented with £200 from FC Lakeside

Tim Lane, coach of the Under 7 White’s, was presented with £200 from the club. Tim ran the London Marathon on Sunday 13th April and completed it in full. This fantastic gesture from club is because Tim has worked tirelessly to remove 10 stone of weight and raise money for Diabetes UK. This is all because his son Sam unfortunately was diagnosed with diabetes 2 years ago. Tim has raised over £3000 for diabetes UK, what a fantastic achievement.

We are all very proud of you Tim, congratulations.

Cheltenham Echo publish Tim Lane’s Marathon Story

FC Lakeside Academy Coach Tim Lane featured in the Cheltenham Echo today to tell the story behind his Marathon efforts. Tim will run the 26 miles on Sunday having raised over £3,000 for Diabetes UK. The Echo joined us at Training on Saturday where we surprised Tim with a donation towards his chosen Charity.
